Work Safety Day: working safely is the only option

Adopting safety measures in the workplace to protect the health of workers and their loved ones: this is the message that we want share during the Work Safety Day promoted by the United Nations and that occurs every 28 April. A message that Banca Generali has already made its own for a long time and that takes on even greater value in these times marked by the Covid-19.

The Health and Safety of our people is one of the pillars that inspires our business model since our foundation and that guides our actions especially in the last weeks.

Now a day over 90% of our employees are working from home. At the same time, our Trieste offices have already carried out works to revisit the rooms to ensure social distancing for people who need to go to work. In addition, every two hours every single workplace, bathrooms, doors and common areas are sanitized.

Health&Safety initiatives also concern economic assistance. Thanks to the synergies with the Generali Group, all our people can benefit from the “Covid-19 Help Line” developed by Europe Assistance Italia. It is a hotline that offer medical and psychological support to all employees and their families 7 days a week.

Many new initiatives will be implemented during “Phase 2”. Because working safely is the only option.
