New medical instruments to fight the Covid-19 pandemic

Our commitment to helping health workers combat the Covid-19 does not stop. In recent days new medical materials have been delivered to allow the main Italian hospitals to treat patients affected by the virus.

Thanks to the contribution of the €1 million fund allocated by our Bank in early April, were delivered:

  • An equipment of 4000 FFP2 masks, 8 life-saving monitor systems, 10 thermoscanners at Sacco, San Paolo, San Raffaele and Merate hospitals;
  • A multifunctional ultrasound for the Humanitas hospital Covid Center of Rozzano;
  • With the help of LILT - Lega Italiana Lotta Tumori, were donated supplies of masks to allow the protection of cancer patients and doctors who are at the Institute for Tumors in Milan;
  • 4 resuscitation units equipped with life-saving devices and delivered to the active Red Cross units in Monza, Trieste, Pavia and Bergamo.

Our initiatives for health workers are alongside those of the Generali Group that has activated a fund of 100 million to tackle the epidemic.

The commitment of Banca Generali to encourage the recovery of our community also continues to support entrepreneurs. Since last month, the fund has been active to provide €100 million in loans to Italian medium-small enterprises developed in collaboration with Credimi and Generali as an anchor investor.
