Banca Generali has opened the doors of its Milan offices in Piazza S. Alessandro 4 for a new exhibition. On Thursday 14 December, the curtain has been raised on Resilienza (resilience), the solo exhibition of the artist and sculptor Christian Balzano, launched on Monday 11, in the presence of the Chairman of the Generali Group and the CEO of Banca Generali.

On Thursday 14 December, the curtain has been raised on "Resilienza", the solo exhibition of the artist and sculptor Christian Balzano that will be hosted until 27 April 2018 in the offices of Banca Generali Private in Milan, Piazza S. Alessandro 4.

Curated by Marco Bazzini and organised in collaboration with Boxart Verona, the exhibition features 30 recent paintings and sculptures, as well as a number of works created by the Tuscan artist during the past ten years. The exhibition traces Balzano’s artistic journey towards a deep reflexion on the human being immersed in the present. The very title of the exhibition, "Resilienza", refers to the capacity to react and rise again, stronger and without being beaten down by difficulties and adversities dictated by fate. The ability to evoke new strategies and new rituals makes art one of the oldest forms of resilience.

"This exhibition forms part of Banca Generali’s project aimed at identifying original and innovative art to offer different points of view and new food for thought,"” stated Gian Maria Mossa, Banca Generali CEO. “"Balzano’s works touch us deeply, and with their ancestral strength linked to the meaning in different cultures, propel us into a world of hope, desire and action that are an extraordinary tribute to positivity and an invitation to turn challenges into opportunities, to take our fate into our own hands"

Sponsored by Milan City Council, the exhibition is accompanied by a Gli Ori Editore catalogue and a website (resilienzaexhibition.com).
