ArtWeek Milano 2020: Banca Generali presents “Our Darkest Hour - It’s Radiant Time”
Banca Generali, on the occasion of ArtWeek Milano, in addition to the free opening of the Museo del Novecento on Saturday 12 September, presents a digital initiative for charity. It is a virtual photo exhibition that will be available for all the duration of Artweek 2020, on the website www.ourdarkestour.it.
The project
From the website it will be possible to visit a gallery of pictures taken by the artist Michele Alassio which portray Venice during the lockdown last March. The photos, particularly striking, in the collection entitled "Our Darkest Hour - It's Radiant Time" will subsequently be available for purchase and the entire proceeds will be donated.
The collaboration with Michele Alassio and CBM Italia
The online photo exhibition arises from the collaboration with the internationally renowned photographer that Banca Generali has decided to support, not only for the artistic content and attention to the sustainability of the initiative, but also and above all for the charitable purposes that Alassio himself has strongly wanted.
The sales of the single numbered edition copies and the Portfolio that collect all the images of the Series will be donated to CBM Italia, a humanitarian organization engaged in the prevention and treatment of blindness and disability. Together with CBM Italia, Banca Generali collaborates on several projects related to the Covid-19 emergency, both in the health and social fields.
